Our Summer outing to Stanway House and our Jazz Party
We had lots of fun in summer 2015. In July, a group of SPJARA members had a great day out at Stanway House, a beautiful old house north-east of Winchcombe that featured in the Libertine and Wolf Hall. We admired its astonishing fountain - the second highest in Europe - and its fascinating interior.
A few weeks later we held our summer jazz party - kindly hosted in the garden of Roger and Marie Owen.  Thanks also to Maurice, Carol and Agnes for organising band, booze and food. We had 56 guests, great music and raised £100 for a charity linked to Milestone School for disadvantaged children and  £100 for P&J’s church roof.
