We held a quiz night at the Exmouth Arms in February

​And visited the new Wilson Gallery on

more than 20 of us enjoyed a great day out at Colesbourne. The sun shone and the snowdrops looked lovely. Below is the gardener talking to us and Sir Henry Elwes, the owner of Colesbourne Park (that's someone photographing flowers behind him, not dying!)

5th February 2010 Members' Party
Convivial winter celebrations held in the Brown Jug, 
with bowling, food and mulled wine

2nd March 2010 Visit to Houses of Parliament
A coach trip to London, with a guided tour of the Houses of Parliament 
and welcome by Martin Horwood, our M.P.

24th April 2010 Visit to Slimbridge
A spring visit to the Wildfowl and Wetland Trust's 
famous bird sanctuary on the Severn Estuary

25 June 2010 Summer Jazz Party at The Gatehouse, Morgan's Drive
This now annual event celebrates high summer with cool drinks and hot jazz
by the Unjust William group from Pate's School.The fundraising proceeds 
to SPJARA's new Trees Fund

10th September 2010 Late summer Garden Party
with good food, wine, friends and neighbours at 69 Painswick Road 
Fundraising in aid of the Church's Development Fund

21st October 2010 Visit to Bletchley Park
A visit to the fascinating WW2 code-breakers' centre, forerunner of GCHQ. 
Travelling by coach and with our own guide for the day.

22nd October 2010 Late Literature Festival Fringe Event
(held jointly with Cheltenham Connect)
Talk by local sit-com writer (and playwright) Maurice Gran, 
preceded by a good-as-new hardback book sale, useful for stocking up 
on Christmas presents. Upstairs in the Exmouth Arms, 7.30 p.m.

26 February 2009 Gardeners’ Question Time
A lively home-grown version of the BBC Radio programme, with three local experts

4 July 2009 Jazz Party at 81 Painswick Road 
A repeat of last year’s successful evening of good food, chilled wine and pleasant 
company to the laid back sounds of the jazz duo 'Ain't Misbehavin' …
in aid of the outreach fund for the successful Norwood Triangle project

4 September 2009 Garden Party at The Gatehouse, Morgan's Drive
with an exhibit and talk on urban wildlife by the Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust

17 November 2009 Visit to the Houses of Parliament
